More Capacity Flights to Cauayan, Legazpi, Virac!

CebuPacific: The leading low cost airline of the country, Cebu Pacific Air will boost its seat capacity by over 130% to some select areas in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao particularly Cauayan, Legazpi and Virac. The airline will not use the 180-seater Airbus A320! Originally, flights from Manila with the destinations above only utilized a 78-seater ATR 72-600. So the change to increase its seating capacity is definitely a big leap!

Wait until July 4, 2017 for this change. To note, the old ATR aircraft will be used to service CebuPacific's new inter-island routes as they have announced recently. These are the Cagayan de Oro - Zamboanga, Cebu - Masbate, Davao - Dumaguete, Davao - Tacloban, and Cotabato - Zambaonga. Operations of these flights will happen at the fourth quarter of next month. Also, more flight schedules are also expected to commence next month between Manila and the Visayas and Mindanao routes.
The addition of flights will be for Manila and Iloilo, Manila and Bacolod. For Mindanao routes, it will be more weekly flights for Manila and Cagayan de Oro, and another for Manila and Northern Mindanao. This is definitely giving out passengers options to have an inter-island travel or perhaps, vacation or business trip.

"Utilizing larger aircraft will not only help meet demand for passenger air travel and logistics to move cargo across the country, but also allow more travellers to avail our year-round lowest fares," said  Atty JR Mantaring, Cebu Pacific Vice President for Corporate Affairs.

So to all our readers, how do you find this news of the frequency of more flights from the Visayas and Mindanao routes? More schedules means more options too! What do you think?

"The capacity expansion will mean more flights and more travel options for everyJuan. We are optimistic that this will make air travel more affordable and more accessible to a greater number of travellers,"
added Mantaring.

If you noticed last week, Cebu Pacific Air announced their shift to the 436-seater Airbus for their international route to Hong Kong from Cebu and Davao. This will also commence on July 4, 2017 as well. And of course more will be expected in the next months to come for other additional schedules where Cebu Pacific has international air operations.
