Cebu Pacific Summer Promo 2012: Up to 50% off, as low as P888 for March to May travel

The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) gives passengers more opportunities to travel abroad this summer with a seat sale from February 3 to 5, 2012 or until seats last.


For travel from April 1 to June 30, 2012, passengers can buy seats at 50% off from Manila or Cebu to Incheon, gateway to Seoul, or Busan, South Korea’s 2nd largest city.

South Korea is promoting its Visit Korea Year 2010-2012 campaign to make the country’s attractions accessible to foreign travelers. This includes hosting the Expo 2012 in Yeosu City (from May 12 to August 12, 2012), a One More Night promotion given by selected hotels, free shuttle service from Seoul to Gyeongju, Jeonju and Busan, and discounted train tickets.

Meanwhile, passengers looking for Japan’s famous cherry blossoms can book seats at 50% off to Osaka, where they can take a train ride to Kyoto. This is for travel from April 1 to June 30, 2012. The best cherry blossom viewing season is until late April.

Travelers can visit Maruyama Park, the oldest park in Kyoto and one of the city’s best leisure and scenic spots for cherry trees. Kyoto is also home to other prime cherry blossom viewing spots: Ginkakuji Temple, Arashimaya and Kiyomizudera Temple.

“CEB’s trademark lowest fares continue to allow passengers to experience other countries’ cultures and seasons. This 50% off seat sale for both South Korea and Japan translate to travel savings, and can lead to memorable vacations with family and friends,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

CEB also holds a seat sale to select Southeast Asian and North Asian destinations, for travel from March 1 to May 31, 2012. P888 seats are up for grabs from Manila to Taipei, Kota Kinabalu and Xiamen; from Cebu or Kalibo to Hong Kong; and from Clark to Bangkok or Macau. The airline will launch its Manila-Xiamen and Kalibo-Hong Kong flights on March 23, 2012.

Passengers can also buy P1,088 seats from Manila to Ho Chi Minh or Macau, and P1,488 seats from Manila to Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur.

“Summer period in the Philippines is also made more fun with CEB’s domestic seat sale. Passengers can take advantage of our extensive network to get to their destinations faster and at lower fares,” Iyog added.

P288 seats are up for grabs from Manila to Cauayan, Naga, Roxas or San Jose; from Cebu to Cagayan de Oro, Dumaguete, Kalibo, Legazpi, Ozamiz, Pagadian or Surigao; and from Cagayan de Oro to Iloilo.

Those traveling from Manila to Bacolod, Legazpi, Tacloban, Tuguegarao or Virac; or from Cebu to Butuan, Clark, Dipolog or General Santos can also buy P488 seats.
